We’re a multi-disciplinary, global network of professionals and students working together to execute a creative and elegant solution to fight poverty and reduce waste – at the same time. Our products were designed by world-class design students at the Rhode Island School of Design. Our hotpress was designed by a Queen’s University engineering professor. Our micro-credit partner organization was founded by a former Wall Street investment banker. You get the picture. We have the know-how and the connections and we are currently seeking a one-time infusion of cash to get us started.
4. Because you’d become part of a movement. We don’t seek profit for ourselves, but do seek to help build successful businesses for those who really need it so they can help themselves. We provide opportunity not charity, thus we are part of a growing movement of social entrepreneurship. With your donation, you become a part of that movement too.
3. Because we care, and you care too. There are 20,000 people on the streets of Buenos Aires who survive by salvaging recyclable plastic and cardboard from the city’s waste. Waste for Life will work with them to build a simple manufacturing process from the materials they collect so they can build viable small businesses and achieve stable, predictable incomes. It’s the beginning of a path toward genuine economic stability, autonomy, and social integration. Your donation helps forge that pathway.

1. Because your money will go exactly where it’s needed. All our overhead and administrative costs are already covered through in-kind donations. All our professionals are volunteers. Your money goes directly toward the project on the ground in Argentina – for training and the purchase of tools and equipment.
