“Wind inside of wind inside of wind” was how one participant described the ‘visioning soundscape’ exercise during theĀ Critical Conversations around Trust (https://www.wasteforlife.org/2018/05/10/trust-a-conversation/) event. As ephemeral as that idiom sounds it captured the essence of the entire 3-day experience, and its concreteness was apparent to all of us who struggle with the fingerprints of trust in the fraught peace-building and reckoning, and advocacy work that we do. The sound of wind inside of wind inside of wind reverberates because it reminds us of the multitudinous layers of listening that must take place to enrich the soil in which trust might grow.
